This study focuses on two urban buildings of palatial type, located in Setúbal and Lisbon linked to Cabedo Vasconcelos family, with labor functions related to the State and Public Administration, and later ennobled as barons and viscounts of Zambujal. The two architectural ensembles express specific characteristics, and even common aspects, and they deserve a broader context than historiography made so far, as well as a greater understanding of the main actors that these spaces were associated.
